HHS Today

In Late 2000 / early 2001 it was determined that the existing school building that was constructed in 1952 would have to be replaced. After approximately a year and a half of planning in the fall of 2002 the contract was let and construction began on a new building. The new 295,000 sq. ft. facility was built facing Bob Wallace avenue (In the open field area behind the old Senior parking lot). The new building contains a 1200 seat auditorium, a 2000 seat competition gymnasium, a 600 seat practice gymnasium, and a media center to go along with the normal classrooms, cafeteria, and offices.
In 2011 it was decided that the freshmen attending HHS needed to be somewhat segregated from the Sophmores, Juniors, and Seniors. To accomplish this the board of education approved  an 80,000 square foot addition to the school. This addition was completed and opened for use in August of 2014. It could accomodate 500 students and 781parking spaces. The building was connected to the existing school via two arched covered walkways.
